Nuclear Power Generation Customers Extend Their MIDAS Meter® Use

We were delighted to re-engage with some of our existing USA Nuclear Market owners and deliver a bespoke training course on MIDAS Meter® use and value maximization. Whilst many of our nuclear market customers have been using our technology for simple through-valve leak detection, there is now a real appetite to extract even more value, through leak rate quantification and periodic risk based inspections (RBI), to support leak rate trending over time and the operational advantages that this delivers. Part of this training session focused on consulting on real-life, ongoing valve leakage challenges, currently being experienced by the operators.

With the travel restrictions in place at present, this course was delivered online. A total of 13 delegates from 3 nuclear power plants attended the training and the feedback was excellent. A follow-up practical session – at the customer’s facility – is being lined-up for later in the year to ensure all operators are fully up to speed in the application of the technology and value extraction.

MIDAS® Valve Diagnostics : New Case Study Videos

Score Diagnostics have recently developed a new series of video case studies, to help both our customers and team members alike, gain an insight into some of the key benefits of using the MIDAS Meter® valve condition monitoring device (such as troubleshooting problem valves, non-invasive valve testing inline, avoiding costly alternative valve testing techniques such as pressure build-up tests, pre-shutdown / turnaround planning, flare line loss and emissions reduction, backlog maintenance prioritisation and recovery, maintenance cost reduction, environmental protection, efficiency maximisation, etc).

Partnership Agreement Extension Signed – JSC Energomash (Russia)

Score Diagnostics Limited have extended their Partnering relationship in the Russian market with Veliky Novgorod based company JSC Energomash (Part of the NBM Group), to continue to support their existing and potential new customers in the Russian Process Industries Market.

This is the second extension to the Partnership and both parties are looking forward to continuing to develop this trading relationship, which has seen both organizations investing in the local approvals and certification of the MIDAS Meter® to Russian compliance requirements.

Following their recent MIDAS Meter® promotional efforts, JSC Energomash have secured a new contract with a local refinery, which is expected to be delivered in October 2020. Training of customers’ personnel will follow, however, the first part of this may have to be delivered online as a result of the Pandemic and associated travel restrictions.

The refinery team are looking forward to optimizing their valve maintenance, as guided by the condition monitoring results provided by MIDAS Meter® surveys (in line valve testing for through-seat leak detection, quantification and trending over time).
